Sending email from a website is a common task - there are password reset emails, welcome emails to new members, order confirmation emails, and sometimes emails letting subscribers know about updated pages, or sharing posts to discussion forums on the site.

Ubercart's ability to add and remove roles automatically is a terrific feature - but some things about managing roles with Ubercart can be a little unintuitive.

How to Add an Ubercart Role

Most of the time, Ubercart handles adding roles automatically (once you've set up the initial configuration), but occasionally you may want to add an Ubercart role manually.

The confusing thing is this: if you try adding an Ubercart role that the user already has, it won't work.

Some organizations use Atlassian Crowd with other Atlassian software - especially Jira and Confluence - to manage user logins and provide for single login to several systems.

While Crowd works well enough, it lacks some features that would be helpful - such as a simple export listing when users have logged in or changed their passwords.
